Alex E. Ruiz

Attorney Alex Ruiz is passionate about helping families, and therefore has solely focused his legal career within Family Law. He received his Juris Doctor from Chapman University Fowler School of Law and his Bachelor of Science degree in Business & Society from La Sierra University.During and following law school, he continued to demonstrate the desire to assist others in his internships and clinics. Alex interned with Self Help Centers at the Central Justice Center in Santa Ana and the Los Angeles Superior Court in Norwalk, where he led workshops assisting self-represented litigants with their Family Law cases. He then held a Law Clerk position with the Family Protection Unit of the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, where he aided Deputy District Attorneys in their prosecution of domestic violence perpetrators.Working with the Bette & Wylie Aitken Family Protection Clinic as a State Bar Certified Law Student, Alex represented in court a victim of domestic abuse. His professional and detailed representation of his client earned him the CALI Award, for Highest Grade in the Family Protection Clinic – Protective Orders.Alex began working as a Law Clerk at a Family Law firm in Orange County in 2018 while simultaneously taking the bar. Since passing the exam and being admitted to the California State Bar in December 2018, Alex continues to dedicate himself to assisting those in need of legal help with family matters in Southern California.As a child of divorce, Alex understands the complex emotions and changes clients can go through, and uses his experience and expertise to better assist each client. Outside of the office, Alex enjoys reading, video games, and spending time with his wife and their two dogs.
