Alexis Charpentier

With nearly twenty years of experience, Alexis Charpentier has acquired in-depth knowledge in labour relations. He is particularly sought out with regard to collective bargaining and grievance arbitration.

Alexis is also recognized for his experience as a speaker and instructor for corporations and employer associations, where he has given hundreds of trainings on all legal issues related to human resource management.

Alexis has in-depth knowledge of the collective bargaining process, having acted as a spokesperson on numerous occasions. He also advises his clients on drafting collective agreements and implementing negotiation strategies.

Alexis acted as spokesperson for many different types of clients under provincial and federal jurisdiction, from the private and public sector, and from all areas of economic activity, including in the airline industry (flight attendants and pilots), manufacturing industry, retail, municipalities (blue collar, white collar, firefighters), public transit authorities, transportation of goods, car dealerships, and the metallurgical sector.

Alexis has extensive experience as a litigator, primarily in grievance arbitration, as well as before the Administrative Labour Tribunal. He also represented employers in several hundred court cases dealing with all aspects of employment relations, including disciplinary measures, administrative dismissals, psychological harassment in the workplace, employer management rights (subcontracting, labour management, employment protection), violence, drugs and alcohol in the workplace, and duty to accommodate and other human rights.
