Allyson Chilton Kitchel

Since 2004, Allyson Kitchel has built her practice around helping injured people in Washington, DC and the surrounding region navigate some of the toughest moments of their lives. She began her legal career working for a trial judge in the District of Columbia, where she learned how cases look from the bench and what makes arguments persuasive. She later represented drivers and doctors on the defense side, giving her a clear view of how corporations and insurers try to limit responsibility in personal injury cases. When her spouse suffered serious injuries in a bike crash, Allyson experienced the process personally and understood the relief that comes from having the right lawyer in your corner. That experience helped shape the way she practices today, with empathy, clear communication, and a focus on making clients feel seen and heard. Allyson is an accomplished trial attorney with nearly two decades of experience representing victims of negligent drivers and negligent medical care. She has resolved and tried cases in DC, Maryland, and Virginia, and she is known for preparation and persistence. She believes clients’ medical leave, paid time off, and health insurance should benefit them, not reward an insurance company. Allyson lives in Ward 6 with her husband and three boys and enjoys biking, family time, and volunteering in the community.
