Clients rely on Amy Puckett for advice and counsel on a full range of employment issues, including compliance with federal and state employment laws and best practices for employee management. Having worked in house, Amy understands the business challenges facing employers and the importance of practical advice, risk management, and effective solutions.

With over a decade of experience, Amy leverages her in house and outside counsel experience to partner with clients in a variety of industries and provide practical employment advice. She employs cross-team collaboration to ensure her clients’ interests are protected and that they receive nuanced and holistic advice.

Amy counsels clients on employee management, training, investigations, and, when necessary, discipline or termination. She also advises clients dealing with harassment, discrimination, or retaliation complaints as well as leave, joint employment, restructuring, severance, or wage and hour issues. Amy regularly defends clients before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission as well as other state and federal regulators. In addition, clients engage Amy for employment agreements, including non-competition, non-solicitation, non-disclosure, and severance agreements, and to ensure their employment policies and procedures are compliant with the latest federal and state requirements.

Previously, Amy served as Vice President of Relationship Management and Compliance for E4E Relief LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Foundation For The Carolinas, which is one of the largest community foundations in the United States. In that role, she served as the dedicated relationship manager for clients, helping set up grant programs for companies to assist their employees during times of disaster or financial hardship and providing day-to-day support, stewardship, and philanthropic counsel. She also directed E4E Relief’s compliance program, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, as well as IRS guidelines and domestic and international data privacy requirements.
