Anthony received his juris doctor degree in 1991 from Ohio Northern University where he participated as a legal intern with the Allen County Legal Aid Program.

Anthony has been a member of the Trumbull County Bar Association since 1991. He served as the Trumbull County Bar Vice President and President from 2007-2011, also participating as a volunteer for Legal Aid during his tenure as an attorney.

He has served on various boards including: New Life Maternity Home, Solace Center, and Someplace Safe.
