Aya Barbach

Aya Barbach is a lawyer within the Data Protection, Privacy and Cybersecurity Group. She practises in the areas of data protection, privacy, access to information, cybersecurity, and online marketing.

Aya advises and supports both private businesses and public bodies on all matters relating to information technology and to data protection. In particular, Aya practices in the area of all legal and governance issues concerning the protection of personal information and privacy, including the management of data breaches (assessment of the risks of breach and of potential disclosure obligations; internal and external communication strategy), establishment of contracts, policies and procedures (such as data processing agreement, privacy policy, security incident management policy, consent form and any other document concerning data protection issues). She also assists organizations during audits.

In addition, Aya advises clients to ensure they comply with the Canadian anti-spam legislation and with all other matters related to information technologies.
