Benjamin W. "Ben" Akery

Attorney Benjamin W. Akery is a partner at the Steinberg Law Firm. Based out of the Goose Creek office, Ben primarily handles personal injury and workers' compensation cases.

Ben earned his undergraduate degree from the College of Charleston and obtained his Juris Doctorate degree from Emory University's School of Law. He is an active member of the South Carolina Bar Association, Charleston County Bar, and Berkeley County Bar, where he served on the board of directors and as president of the Young Lawyers Division.

He has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America for four consecutive years (2016-2020; 2022) and was selected as Best Lawyers Lawyer of the Year in 2022 for Workers' Compensation Law-Claimants. Ben was also selected as Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2017 and was nominated as a Top 40 Under 40 by the National Trial Lawyers Association.

He is passionate about giving back to the community and is an active member of Crosstowne Christian Church and serves as chair of the board of directors for Healing Farms.
