Brian Andrew Fery is a Partner in the firm's Orlando office. He focuses his practice in defending Fortune 500 corporations in catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death actions in the premises liability, negligent security, and nursing home and assisted living facility defense arenas. Additionally, Mr. Fery represents large, state-wide residential, affordable and luxury housing providers in relation to discrimination, civil rights, lease enforcement, and eviction disputes. In representing large corporations and carriers, he has become adept in all stages of the litigation process, from expert depositions and evidentiary and dispositive motion practice, to handling cases to trial and jury verdict with highly favorable results in both state and federal court.
Mr. Fery began his career at a large, national defense firm, where he practiced for over five years and gained significant defense experience in multiple industries, including nursing home and assisted living facilities, medical malpractice and professional negligence, as well as premises and products liability and workers' compensation defense. Mr. Fery also has complex litigation experience within the commercial and construction defect industry. Through his experience, Brian understands the importance of tenacious and effective client representation. In fact, Mr. Fery has been selected as one of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America since 2021, following extensive surveys based entirely on peer reviews and conducted by a national attorney evaluation firm; an award considered the 'gold standard for legal rankings worldwide.'
Mr. Fery was born and raised in Orlando, FL and following high school, attended the University of Central Florida where he received a 100% Bright Futures academic scholarship and completed his bachelor's degree in Legal Studies. Mr. Fery then obtained his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from St. Thomas University College of Law in Miami, FL where he also received and maintained an academic merit scholarship during the entirety of his legal education. While in law school, Mr. Fery was selected to receive intensive trial training as a two-time competing advocate for the mock trial team and received STU Trial Team's 'Best Team Award' in 2013. Additionally, he received the CALI Book Award in Advanced Legal Research and Writing and served as both a professor's research assistant and as a judicial intern with the 11th Judicial Circuit in Miami.
Mr. Fery is a member of the Florida Bar and the Orange County Bar Association, where he has volunteered his time as a law student mentor. When he is not practicing, he enjoys spending time with his daughter and family, and being outdoors, fishing, boating and exploring Florida's lakes and coastal waterways.
