Brit's dedication to family law stems from her profound connection to the concept of family. Even before law school, while exploring a career in law, she worked as a paralegal for Meakins Law, a family law firm in Berkeley. There, she developed a deep affection for divorce law, the clients, and her colleagues. During her legal education, she served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Roberta S. Hayashi in Santa Clara County, gaining invaluable insights into family court operations. She also held roles as the President of Santa Clara Law's Family Law Society and Student Bar Association. After law school, she returned to Meakins Law as an attorney before embarking on the journey to establish her own practice.

Brit holds degrees from UC Berkeley and Santa Clara University School of Law. After graduating from law school in 2017, she joined the Santa Clara Law faculty, teaching courses in Appellate Advocacy, Advanced Legal Writing, and co-teaching Civil Procedure. Her legal scholarship and publications focus on reproductive and life-extension biotechnologies, competitive governance, and economic analysis of law. Brit has also coached ABA Negotiation Competition teams as part of Santa Clara's Honors Moot Court program. Her work has gained recognition in notable publications, including The Recorder, The Los Angeles Times, The San Francisco Chronicle, The New York Times, and MSNBC, among others.

In her free time, Brit enjoys songwriting and playing guitar, strength training, and embarking on adventures with her 4-year-old daughter.
