About Camaron Michael Voyles

Camaron M. Voyles received his undergraduate degree from Hope College, a private liberal arts college in Michigan, in 2007, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a double major in History and Japanese Studies. He served as the president of the Hope College chapter of the Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. After graduation, he pursued his interest in Japan by teaching English to Japanese elementary school students for three years through the JET Programme. Mr. Voyles returned to Michigan to complete his law degree at the University of Michigan, graduating Cum Laude in 2014. During law school, he studied immigration, civil rights issues, and corporate law. He also served on the Executive Board of the Michigan Journal of International Law and was the Event Manager for the Asia Law Society's 2012 symposium. During law school, he gained work experience at Oh-Ebashi LPC & Partners and Nishimura & Asahi, major Japanese law firms in Osaka and Tokyo, respectively. He performed a variety of legal work for some of the largest Japanese corporations including due diligence in preparation for a management-led buyout of a manufacturing corporation, drafting a joint venture agreement, and giving legal advice on topics such as Chapter 11 bankruptcy, trademark registration, real estate commissions, and antitrust. After graduation, he returned to Oh-Ebashi to further hone his legal skills. Mr. Voyles is admitted to practice in Michigan and speaks conversational Japanese.
