Carey J. Ramin

Carey J. Eshelman is a San Diego native who focuses her legal practice on general liability matters and retail litigation.

Prior to joining Pettit Kohn, Carey defended individuals and companies in general liability, premises liability, contract, and construction defect matters. Carey received her Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2014. While attending law school, Carey was a judicial extern for the Hon. Anthony J. Battaglia at the U.S. District Court, Southern District of California. Carey was a member of the International Law Journal. Additionally, Carey was a member and board chair for USD’s Appellate Moot Court Program, where she competed nationally. Carey received awards for her oral advocacy and brief writing excellence during the competitions.

Prior to law school, Carey graduated cum laude from the University of San Diego, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy and communication studies.

Carey is licensed to practice before all courts in the State of California.
