Casey W. Callahan

Casey W. Callahan is an associate attorney with Kemp Klein in Troy, Michigan. His practice focuses on estate planning, business and corporate planning, and post-death administration. Casey works with individuals, families, and business owners to address legal needs involving Business Organizations (including LLCs and Partnerships), Closely Held Companies and Family Businesses Law, Corporate Law, and Trusts and Estates. He advises clients on structuring and maintaining business entities, preparing estate planning documents, and navigating the administration of estates and trusts.

Casey regularly assists clients with the formation and governance of business entities, succession planning for closely held and family-owned companies, and strategies designed to support long-term business continuity. He also works with individuals and families to develop estate plans that reflect their personal and financial objectives, including wills, trusts, and related planning tools.

In addition to planning matters, Casey helps clients manage post-death administration, guiding families and fiduciaries through the legal and procedural aspects of settling estates and administering trusts. His approach emphasizes clear communication and practical guidance so clients can make informed decisions regarding their businesses, assets, and long-term plans.

Casey earned his law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2019. During law school, he participated in several international academic programs, spending summer semesters studying in The Hague, Netherlands; Belgium; London; and Edinburgh. He also completed a legal externship in Frankfurt, Germany, and served as a student ambassador for the Dean Rusk International Law Center. These experiences provided exposure to international legal perspectives and strengthened his ability to work with clients from a wide range of backgrounds.

Casey is a board member of the Kemp Klein Foundation, which supports Common Ground and a variety of local and national charitable initiatives.
