Mr. Gallagher graduated from Stetson University College of Law. After graduation he began practice with a large Tampa firm focusing on insurance litigation. Additionally, Mr. Gallagher served as a Federal Judicial Intern for Chief Judge Elizabeth A. Kovachevich of the U.S. Middle District of Florida. Mr. Gallagher has experience in both litigation and transactional matters. His current practice focuses on insurance litigation, foreclosure defense, real estate litigation, business law and consumer law.
While at Stetson, Mr. Gallagher was the Director of the Legal Writing Clinic, President of the Christian Legal Society, a Teaching Fellow for Legal Research and Writing classes, a Teaching Assistant for Interviewing, Counseling and Negotiation classes, and an Honor Court Attorney. Mr. Gallagher was awarded the Calvin Kunzel Award in 2000 by a vote of the student body for campus leadership. Additionally, Mr. Gallagher was awarded the Judge Stanley Millage Award at graduation for academic excellence by a vote of the faculty. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Gallagher worked as a paralegal with a large Orlando law firm. In 1995, Mr. Gallagher graduated from Rollins College in Winter Park Florida with a degree in Politics, where he sat on the Alumni Association's Board of Directors.
Mr. Gallagher is currently admitted to practice before all courts within Florida as well as Court of Appeals 11th Circuit, the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. District Court Middle District of Florida, the U.S. District Court Northern District of Florida and the U.S. Tax Court.
Mr. Gallagher is a member of The Florida Bar, the St. Petersburg Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. Additionally, Mr. Gallagher is involved with a variety of pro bono and community service activities. Mr. Gallagher is a graduate of the 2009 Class of Leadership St. Pete, 2018 Class of Leadership Pinellas and selected as a Rising Star in the 2010 and 2012 editions of Florida Super Lawyers.
Mr. Gallagher is the Senior Warden St. Alban's Episcopal Church, he is the Chair of the Law Practice Management Section of the St. Petersburg Bar, a member of the Rowdies Council, the incoming Chair of the Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital Family Advisory Council, and board member of Little Light of Mine.
