Over the years she has devoted countless hours to the advancement of the family law profession, including serving as the Chair of the Gulf Coast Family Law Specialists, a regional organization devoted to promoting education, ethics, and professionalism in the field of family law. A proud member of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, a national organization limiting participation to family law specialists who have achieved a reputation for excellence in their field. On many occasions, Charlotte has been chosen by her peers as a Texas Super Lawyer, a Thomson Reuters business published by Texas Monthly magazine.
Born and raised in central Texas, Charlotte is a fifth-generation Texan and attended Sam Houston State University. After acquiring her bachelor’s degree in 1994, she worked as a law clerk for a prominent family lawyer while attending law school. Charlotte graduated from South Texas College of Law in 1998.
