Chris served as Chairman of the New Hampshire Bar Association Workers' Compensation Section from April 2009 - March 2010, and served on a New Hampshire Bar Association committee to establish criteria for Lawyer Referral Service medical malpractice panel members. Chris was on the faculty of the November 2008 New Hampshire Association for Justice Workers' Compensation seminar, speaking on the subject of third party personal injury claims.

Chris currently serves on the Bedford Town Council, where he was Chairman from 2013 to 2015. He currently serves on the Bedford Planning Board, Bedford Energy Commission, Bedford Community Television Board of Overseers (Alternate Member), Board of Directors of the Educational Farm at Joppa Hill, Inc. and the Board of Directors of the Bedford Education Foundation.

He has also coached the McKelvie Middle School Mock Trial Team, including the 1997 State Champion Team and the 1996 and 2000 State runners-up.
