About Christopher D. Plumlee
Christopher Plumlee is a trial lawyer and partner at RMP LLP in Springdale, Arkansas, where he has practiced since joining the firm in 2019. He co-leads the firm’s Investigations and Corporate Compliance practice and advises clients on matters involving governmental investigations, corporate compliance, white-collar criminal matters, complex tax issues, and antitrust investigations. His practice includes representing individuals and organizations in matters involving the U.S. Department of Justice, including the Criminal Division, Tax Division, Antitrust Division, and Public Integrity Section.
Before entering private practice, Mr. Plumlee served as an Assistant United States Attorney and was Chief of the Criminal Division. He also spent six years as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney. His background includes extensive courtroom experience, with numerous jury trials in both state and federal courts, as well as appellate advocacy before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
Mr. Plumlee was part of the trial team that defended a poultry sales director charged with criminal conspiracy by the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice, involving allegations of price fixing and bid rigging over an eight-year period. The defense resulted in a hung jury after a seven-week federal jury trial in Denver, Colorado in 2021, followed by a second hung jury in 2022. Following these trials, the Antitrust Division dismissed the case with prejudice. The RMP LLP trial team was later recognized by AmLaw’s Litigators of the Week.
