D. Andrew "Andy" Phillips

Andy is a shareholder of Mitchell, McNutt & Sams, P.A. ("Mitchell, McNutt") and founding member of its Creditors' Rights / Bankruptcy Litigation Section. He's been licensed to practice law in the State of Mississippi since 1989 and a member of Mitchell, McNutt since 1991. His clients include regional creditors, debtors, unsecured creditors committees and counsel to panel Trustees in Chapter 5 and related litigation, as well as other aspects of bankruptcy case administration. He has substantial experience in both business and consumer bankruptcy matters, bankruptcy litigation and general corporate litigation at both the State and Federal levels. Routinely represents creditors and other parties in interest in complex Chapter 11 matters and attendant litigation in multiple jurisdictions, as well as Chapter 13, 12 and 7 matters and related litigation. Particularly, Andy represents banking and other financial institutions, unsecured creditors committees and debtors. He's a respected member of the Mississippi bankruptcy bar, having served as President of the Mississippi Bankruptcy Conference and member of its Board of Directors, as well as an inductee Fellow to the Mississippi Bar Foundation.
