About Dan Dworin
After nearly 30 years defending Central Texans charged with crimes ranging from DWI to murder in state and federal court as a solo practitioner, Dan joined the fast-growing team at Michael & Associates as a Senior Trial Attorney in 2025.
A 1995 graduate of the University of Texas School of Law, he has been Board Certified in Criminal Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 2004.
He is a former president of the Austin Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the Criminal Justice Section of the Austin Bar Association, and the Austin Chapter President of the Federal Bar Association. He is licensed in the United States District Court for the Western and Eastern Districts of Texas. Texas Monthly has repeatedly recognized him as a Rising Star or Super Lawyer. He also has a “Superb” rating from Avvo.
He puts his decades of experience to work helping the clients of Michael & Associates by keeping his laser focus on client objectives – coupled with a commitment to frequent and clear communication – to make sure clients always know what is going on with their case and can achieve the best possible outcome, whether through negotiation or jury trial.
