About David Gelfand David Gelfand is a resilient and fervent advocate who brings years of courtroom experience and trial advocacy to Mr. Lichtman’s firm. Mr. Gelfand’s practice is focused on representing clients who are being investigated or have been charged by state and/or federal authorities.

Prior to joining the Law Offices of Jeffrey Lichtman, Mr. Gelfand spent close to four years at the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office serving within the Trial Division. As an Assistant District Attorney, Mr. Gelfand oversaw a caseload of complex felony and misdemeanor matters from arraignment through trial. Throughout his time as a prosecutor, Mr. Gelfand participated in the investigation, indictment, and prosecution of hundreds of cases including DWIs, narcotics and weapons possessions, robberies, burglaries, assaults, and attempted murders. By leveraging his familiarity with New York’s prosecutorial tactics, Mr. Gelfand is able to craft both innovative and effective defense strategies to ensure clients receive the best possible outcome.
