Delaney L. Beier

Delaney Beier helps clients mitigate and manage their environmental liabilities, responsibilities, and risks. In doing so, Delaney counsels clients in a wide variety of matters arising out of agency proceedings, enforcement actions, citizen suits, permitting, compliance and due diligence matters, transactions, brownfield redevelopment and site remediation, and litigation. She regularly handles matters in all environmental media, including air, land, waste, and water, and represents clients in many different industries ranging from large companies to small, local businesses.

Delaney works to find practical solutions to the complex issues her clients face under various environmental laws and regulations. This includes, for example, the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act/Superfund, the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, the Endangered Species Act, the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, the Toxic Substances Control Act, and various state counterparts. She has worked with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Alabama Department of Environmental Management, as well as other federal, state, and local environmental agencies, to help clients achieve desirable results in enforcement actions brought under these environmental laws and regulations.

In addition, Delaney conducts compliance counseling and audits for clients related to the lifecycle of their operations and products, including compliance and permitting requirements. She also enjoys working with clients to assess and manage risks under certain Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) topics, including environmental justice.
