Dennis Hewson J.D.

A 2017 graduate from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, Dennis Hewson has worked for the firm in the Workers’ Compensation Department in some capacity since 2011. Starting as a paralegal, he developed the skills and insight into the legal complexities that injured workers face in New York State. He moved to the Settlement Department in 2013, where he regularly dealt with insurance companies and opposing attorneys to obtain settlements for clients of the firm.

At Hofstra, he was a member of the Hofstra Trial Advocacy Association, as well as the Veterans Legal Student Association. During his last semester, he was a member of the newly formed Veterans Legal Clinic, which provided legal assistance to Veterans in Nassau and Suffolk counties. Along with representing these Veterans with their disability issues, he worked on discharge upgrade cases in order to permit Veterans with less than honorable discharges to obtain the benefits they were entitled.

Dennis was admitted to practice in June of 2018 and is a valued associate in our Workers’ Compensation department.
