Eric P. Christofferson

Eric Christofferson is an experienced trial, litigation, and investigations lawyer in DLA Piper's Boston Office and is a member of the firm's white collar group. Immediately prior to joining DLA Piper, Eric served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of Massachusetts, leading an array of white collar criminal investigations, trials, and appeals.

Eric, whose practice focuses on the life-sciences, healthcare, and financial services sectors, represents corporations and individuals in government investigations, internal investigations, criminal and regulatory proceedings, and civil litigation. He has advised life-sciences clients in matters implicating the False Claims Act, the Anti-Kickback Statute, the Food Drug & Cosmetic Act, as well as a variety of other statutes and regulations, involving issues such as clinical research, manufacturing, product promotion, and charitable donations, among others. Eric has also advised clients in matters implicating the securities laws. Eric has negotiated resolutions with the Department of Justice, state attorneys general, and other enforcement entities, and he has advised management and boards of directors concerning both external and internal investigations. Eric is also an experienced courtroom lawyer who has tried over fifteen criminal and civil jury trials during his career.
