Evan P. Fontenot

Evan P. Fontenot is an associate attorney of the firm practicing in the Baton Rouge office. He represents clients in matters involving general liability, contract disputes, employment disputes, litigation involving neighborhood associations, and matters before administrative agencies and in state and federal courts for both private and governmental entities.

Mr. Fontenot received his Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Louisiana State University in 2014, along with his minor degrees in Mass Communications and History. Thereafter, he attended Louisiana State University’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center. While pursuing his law degree, Mr. Fontenot practiced as a student clinician in the Immigration Law Clinic and participated in the Trial Advocacy Program. In 2017, Mr. Fontenot was awarded the Dean’s Scholar Award and received his Juris Doctor and Graduate Diploma in Comparative Law.

Prior to joining Daigle Fisse & Kessenich, Mr. Fontenot primarily practiced in the areas of mass torts and products liability. He has considerable experience in litigating cases involving pharmaceuticals and medical devices, in addition to class actions and personal injury cases.

Mr. Fontenot is admitted to practice law before all Louisiana state and federal courts, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. He is an active member of the Louisiana State Bar Association and the Baton Rouge Bar Association.
