Genie Harrison

Ms. Harrison focuses her practice on plaintiff’s employment, civil rights and wage and hour litigation, including in individual and multi-plaintiff cases, as well as in class actions. Ms. Harrison has obtained settlements and verdicts, including through working with other attorneys in trial, in excess of $66 million for her clients.

Employment cases do not often result in seven figure verdicts or settlements, but Ms. Harrison has obtained a number of seven figure results. She has also co-chaired two trials that resulted in eight figure judgments. Of course, Ms. Harrison has also represented countless employees in cases that resulted in five and six figure outcomes as well. In fact, some of her most satisfying cases are modest in dollar value, but immense in human value. Ms. Harrison has been acknowledged with rare distinction: in addition to being named to the Best Lawyers list for plaintiff's employment litigation since 2012 and to the Best Law Firms list since 2014, she has been named to Southern California's Top 10 Super Lawyers list (2016-2017), the Top 100 Southern California Super Lawyers list (2016-2017), the Top 50 Southern California Women Litigator Super Lawyers list (2010, 2011, 2015-2017), and Southern California Super Lawyers in Plaintiff’s Employment litigation for eight years in a row (2009-2016) and is one of only two women lawyers in the state of California named by the Daily Journal as one of the state’s Top Labor & Employment lawyers for six years (2009-2013, 2015-2016).

Ms. Harrison also works to advance the trial skills of plaintiffs’ counsel through her volunteer work on boards and committees of various trial lawyer organizations, through her training and speaking at numerous conferences throughout the state over the year, and through writing various published articles. Significantly, Ms. Harrison has served in the following capacity for various organizations:

• As the 2017 Consumer Attorneys of Los Angeles (“CAALA”) Treasurer. CAALA is the nation's largest local trial bar organization and Ms. Harrison will be its fifth female President in 2021.

• From 2008 through 2017, as a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Labor & Employment Section Executive Committee.
