Gerald S. Berkowitz

Gerald S. Berkowitz holds degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, B.A. 1975; Boston University Graduate School of Business, M.B.A. 1977 (Beta Gamma Sigma); and Villanova University School of Law, J.D. 1983. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, and is a member of the bar of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and has been admitted and appeared pro hac vice in numerous other federal courts. Jerry Berkowitz has litigated hundreds of cases from simple contract actions to complex ERISA class actions.

Jerry Berkowitz is also experienced in commercial transactions, leveraged transactions and financing, contract negotiation, employment law, trade secret theft and protections, Family and Medical Leave Act; Uniform Commercial Code; Fair Labor Standards Act, Wrongful Discharge; Pennsylvania Wage Payment and Collection Act, Insurance Coverage, Defamation, Americans with Disabilities Act, Executive Employment and Severance, OSHA, Federal Securities Fraud, Copyright, Lanham Act; Fraud, Banking, Tortious Interference, Product Liability, Administrative Claims, AAA Arbitration – among other things. Berkowitz was approved as class counsel for six hundred employees of Koh-I-Nor, Inc. in the case of Clauser et al.v. Newell Rubbermaid, Inc. et al., 2000 WL 1053395 (E.D.Pa) which was successfully resolved for the employees.
