About Gordon W. Prince

Gordon W. Prince is a business law attorney who joined Gawthrop Greenwood shortly after graduating number one in his class at Widener University Delaware Law School. He focuses his practice in the firm’s Business Law Department and supports a broad range of transactional and general business entity matters including business formation, the drafting and negotiation of contracts and merger agreements, business compliance with state and federal law, and real estate and corporate governance. He is particularly attuned to the needs of local businesses, supporting mid-sized business clients with his authorship of Gawthrop Greenwood’s Guide to Buying and Selling a Business.

Gordon was named to Best Lawyers®: Ones to Watch 2024, after undergoing rigorous review and confidential evaluations by top attorneys in his field. In addition, he has spent time as a law clerk in multiple Philadelphia law firms that focused on criminal defense and insurance and subrogation law. As a former Class II patrolman for the Ocean City Police Department who also worked police security detail within the Ocean City Municipal Courthouse, Gordon has gained a unique operational understanding of the law and court system.

A former captain of the Gettysburg College football team, Gordon stays involved in sports and is a resident of West Chester, where he enjoys walking his dog around town and attending local events with his wife.
