Heather Trostle Smith

Heather Trostle Smith, a partner with Pittsburgh family law firm Pollock Begg, applies her experience in multifaceted family law issues to advocate for clients in all types of divorce, support and custody cases, including those with complex financial estates and high net worth individuals.

Heather began her legal career in Pittsburgh concentrating in commercial matters, professional liability, personal injury law and family law with a well-known commercial litigation firm. Her keen ability to analyze problems and resolve conflicts, combined with her empathetic nature, enables her to successfully negotiate for her clients, while working toward resolution of the entire case.

Heather has been named to both Best Lawyers in America and Pennsylvania Super Lawyers since 2020 and was recognized on the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Rising Stars list from 2014-2018. She was elected to a three-year term on the Allegheny County Bar Association’s Judiciary Committee in 2020 and previously served on the committee as well.

A leader in continuing education for attorneys, Heather has presented programs on shareholder rights, executive compensation, electronic discovery and client management for the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Family Law Section, Pennsylvania Bar Institute, National Business Institute and Allegheny County Bar Association. A firm believer in giving back, she also volunteers on pro bono protection from abuse cases and pro se motions and with the Uptown Legal Clinic and Neighborhood Legal Services.
