Ivan "A.J." Alston

Ivan (A.J.) is an associate in the Corporate & Securities practice group. His practice focuses on assisting clients with matters regarding corporate law, including corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions and entity formation. He also counsels clients on complex commercial agreements and corporate governance. He performs legal research and guides clients regarding investor relations, all stages of financings, due diligence, and the drafting of transaction documents.

A.J. previously served as a legal extern for Trustwave, where he reviewed and revised IT agreements, conducted legal research on contractual issues, and drafted client forms and letters. He was also a judicial extern in the Circuit Court of Cook County’s Chancery Division. In law school, he participated in the CK-Law Group’s Tax Clinic and was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society, the Bankruptcy, Insolvency, and Restructuring Association, and the Black Law Students Association.
