Ewen’s transactional experience is extensive and includes incorporations, re-organizations, business acquisitions, shareholders’ agreements, partnerships, joint ventures, commercial transactions, franchise agreements, financings, leasing, specialized equipment purchases, debt collection and wills and estate matters.

Ewen’s real estate practice includes acquisitions, financings, leasing and development of industrial, commercial, recreational and residential properties. He has experience with First Nations land transaction. He has represented real estate brokerages and salespersons.

Ewen also has a busy construction law practice. He negotiates for owners and customizes development manager, construction manager, cost plus, stipulated price, design build and trade contracts for contractors.

He has extensive experience successfully negotiating temporary construction easements and licenses (crane swing, shoring and underpinning contracts) for developers and for owners of affected lands.

He also acts for non-profits, societies and strata corporations.
