James J. Richards

James J. Richards has been practicing law in Massachusetts for over 25 years. After completing a judicial clerkship in the Massachusetts Trial Court, he transitioned into private practice, where he became a partner in two well-respected Massachusetts firms before establishing his own firm, The Law Offices of James J. Richards LLC, located in Framingham, Massachusetts.

Mr. Richards has concentrated his practice in Family Law, handling cases in the Probate, Superior, and District Courts, as well as in Massachusetts appellate courts. He has also served as in-house counsel, offering insights from an inside perspective.

In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Richards has contributed significantly to legal education. He has served as an adjunct professor at both the law school and college levels and participated as a panelist in continuing legal education programs. His contributions to legal publications and law reviews are part of his ongoing commitment to the advancement of legal knowledge.

Dedicated to professional service, Mr. Richards has been an active participant in several committees and boards connected to the Massachusetts Trial Court, various bar associations, and the Board of Bar Overseers. He also fulfills roles as a conciliator and Discovery Master.

James J. Richards earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Massachusetts, a Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School, and a Master of Business Administration from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
