He then graduated from the West Virginia University College of Law in 2006. While in law school, Jim was a member of the West Virginia Moot Court. Jim was admitted to the North Carolina State Bar in April 2007, the West Virginia State Bar in May 2008, as well as the United States District Courts for the Southern District of West Virginia in May 2008, the Nothern District of West Virginia in June 2013, the Eastern District of North Carolina in January 2012, and the Western Districts of North Carolina in October 2011. He has also been admitted to practice law before the United States Circuit Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit where he successfully argued in the case styled Cornett Management Company v. Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company, No. 07-2019. He has been associated with Bailey & Wyant, in Charleston since June 2007.
