Standen has authored many academic articles and books and has been a featured speaker at numerous scholarly symposia and legal education panels. He has received university awards for excellence in teaching and in scholarship. Former Associate attorney, Hunton Andrews Kurth (then Hunton & Williams). Litigation practice focused on complex multi-state RICO and securities suits, products liability, and general business litigation. Former Deputy General Counsel of U.S. Sentencing Commission and former clerk to a federal judge, United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
