Jeffry Elbert Baughman

Jeff is an attorney at Aegis Law, a dynamic business law firm with offices throughout the United States. Jeff works in the Tampa office as part of the corporate practice nd estate planning team.

Jeff has business experience. Prior to joining Aegis Law, Jeff founded and operated his own small law firm in the Tampa Bay region for seven years. From there Jeff moved into the non-profit sector working organizations dedicated to assisting Veterans transitioning home from combat.

As a veteran of the 10th Mountain Division (LI), Jeff did what it took to achieve the assigned mission both stateside and overseas. This mission-first focus and history of service forms the basis of his relationship with clients. Jeff also strives to be more than someone to call when there is a problem. He uses his resources, experience, and network to help clients with their non-legal or business needs to keep their venture growing.

Jeff’s practice focuses on corporate, regulatory and transactional matters for businesses, real estate developers, charitable and non-profit organizations and financial institutions. He regularly advises clients regarding mergers and acquisitions, entity formation and business structures, commercial transactions, secured transactions, commercial real estate, commercial leasing, corporate finance, securities, corporate taxation, state and local tax issues and audits and charitable organizations.

Jeff also dedicates his time and skill to giving back to the greater community. Jeff is an active member of the community and devotes his time to serving various local charitable and civic organizations. He currently serves as a mentor for the Hillsborough County Veteran Treatment Court and is a legal resource and speaker for both SCORE Pinellas and SCORE Hillsborough.

Jeff is an avid practitioner and holds a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He enjoys teaching children and adults grappling and self-defense skills in his free time.
