Jenny Tyler Baker

Jenny Tyler Baker is a shareholder in Carr Allison’s Gulfport (MS) office. Jenny focuses her practice on defending matters involving workers’ compensation, premises liability, professional liability and personal injury.

Jenny graduated cum laude from Mississippi State with a Bachelor of Arts in sociology. She then went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Mississippi College School of Law.

Jenny is an active member of the Mississippi Bar Association and is a Past President of the Bar. Previously, she led the Young Lawyers Division as president (2016- 2017) and as secretary (2014-2015). Additionally, she has been involved in the Women in the Profession Committee for several years where she served as chair (2012-2013) and chair of the Evelyn Gandy Lecture Series (2017). Jenny is a fellow of the American Bar Foundation and has been included in The Best Lawyers in America® (2024 – 2026). She is also a fellow of the Mississippi Bar Foundation and a fellow of the Young Lawyers Division.

Jenny has served as president for the Harrison County Bar Association (2008-2009) and the Harrison County Young Lawyers Association (2006-2007). Additionally, she has served as chair for the 2021 Summer School for Lawyers Committee.

Over the years, Jenny has served as a facilitator at the James O. Duke Law School Professionalism Program. She is also a member of the Mississippi Municipal Attorneys Association and served as fundraising chair for the Mississippi Volunteer Lawyer Project. Jenny was recognized by the Mississippi Business Journal as one of Mississippi’s Leading Lawyers (2014). She also received the Community Spirit Award from Mississippi College School of Law (2019).

A resident of Biloxi (MS), Jenny is an advocate for her community. She has served several positions for the Land Trust of the Mississippi Coastal Plain and is a life member of the Junior Auxiliary of Biloxi-Ocean Springs. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Roy, and their children Grace, Charlotte and Bobby.
