About Jeremy E. Scott
Jeremy (Jed) E. Scott received his bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Wyoming in 1995, followed by his juris doctor degree from the University of Wyoming College of Law in 2000.
In 2013, he earned his master of laws degree in natural resources and environmental law and policy from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and was named Outstanding Natural Resources and Environmental Law Graduate for highest overall grades in the program.
He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court, State of Colorado, and the U.S. District Court, District of Colorado. During law school, Jed clerked with the State of Wyoming Attorney General’s Office, Litigation Division and with the Office of District Attorney, First Judicial District in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Jed previously served as chair of the Larimer County Bar Association, Young Lawyer Division and on the Executive Council of the Colorado Bar Association, Young Lawyer Division. He is a graduate of the 2009 Colorado Bar Association Leadership Training (COBALT) Class and served on the 2010 COBALT Program Committee.
Jed practices in the areas of environmental law, natural resource law (including water rights, oil and gas, mining, land conservation, wildlife, and land use), real property, civil litigation, municipal law, tort and personal injury, business, and construction law. He currently serves as
assistant town attorney and prosecutor for the Town of Severance, the Town of Ault, and the Town of Berthoud. Jed is a member of the American Bar Association’s Section of Environment, Energy and Resources and Section of Litigation, the Colorado Bar Association, the Colorado Bar Foundation, and the Larimer County Bar Association.
