Jim Baxter Buxton

Raised in Duncan, Oklahoma, Jim Buxton is proud to represent fellow Oklahomans as a trial lawyer. He earned his law degree from Oklahoma City University School of Law. He later completed the Trial Lawyers College in Dubois, Wyoming—founded by Gerry Spence—and was elected in July 2011 to the Trial Lawyers College F-Warriors Board as Region 5 representative. Mr. Buxton’s practice focuses on people who have been injured or treated unfairly, whether the harm comes from negligence or from insurance company tactics designed to delay or deny valid claims. He brings substantial courtroom experience to each case and is known for direct, practical guidance. Mr. Buxton also shares his knowledge with other lawyers, speaking often at continuing legal education programs and staying active with the Oklahoma Trial Lawyers Association. He is licensed in all Oklahoma state and federal courts and is a member of professional organizations including the Oklahoma Bar Association and Oklahoma County Bar Association. Mr. Buxton lives in Oklahoma City with his wife, Katherine, and their two daughters. He attends Nichols Hills Methodist Church and supports a range of local charities and philanthropic efforts.
