John A. Sheehan

I am the managing attorney for the Los Angeles office of The Barnes Firm, one of the largest personal injury law firms in the nation. I have represented injured persons since my admission to practice law in 1988 and have derived great satisfaction helping people in their time of need. I relish the opportunity to zealously represent my clients whose lives have been adversely affected by the carelessness of others.

I have prosecuted cases in California and New York against some of the country’s biggest companies and insurance carriers, including a case in which we successfully recovered a settlement for the family of a pedestrian struck by a Buffalo, New York snow plow operator. I have also worked alongside Steve Barnes at the law offices of Cellino & Barnes where we helped accident victims recover millions of dollars in compensation. Today, I appreciate my role as my clients’ champion in California, where they often face a similar “David versus Goliath” confrontation in their personal injury claim.

I have represented everyone from sewer inspectors to millworkers to laborers; all hurt due to unsafe workplaces. I know what it is like to get hurt on the job, as I was once burned by hot steel at a jobsite long before becoming a lawyer. So, I particularly enjoy working hard for those hard-working construction workers hurt on job sites. I am committed to advocating on behalf of construction and workplace accident victims I’ve successfully handled many of these cases including construction site trip and falls resulting in severe injuries, on-site pedestrian and motor vehicle accidents, and an unsecured load case resulting in 11 crushed ribs for a driver.

I have found that success is dependent on 1) a focused, positive attitude, 2) disciplined preparation and 3) the relentless pursuit of the desired goal. I approach the practice of law with these principles in mind.
