Jon A. Baker

Jon A. Baker is a founding member of the firm and his practice focuses on the leasing, acquisition, disposition, financing, and development of various commercial properties, including office buildings, multi-family projects, industrial properties, raw land, and retail projects. Jon also represents institutional lenders in connection with the financing of real estate projects. Jon was recently honored for his notable achievements in real estate law when he was named to Best Lawyers in America® for 2024.

Prior to founding WLBO, Jon was a partner at a Dallas law firm and he began his legal career as an associate with Powell Coleman & Arnold LLP, where he was later promoted to a partner of the firm. Jon received his B.A. from Emory University in 1997 and his J.D. from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law in 2005. He spent his third year of law school as a visiting student at Southern Methodist University.

He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Real Estate Section of the State Bar of Texas.
