Biography

Jon Hanna, car accidents attorney serving Odessa

Jon Hanna is a trial attorney based in Odessa, TX. The practice focuses on Car Accidents, General, and Medical Malpractice. Jon has over 44 years of legal experience. Currently practicing at Hanna Allen, PLLC. Rated 4.7 out of 5 from 12 client reviews. Jon works from Odessa, Texas and takes on car accidents matters across the region.

Jon Hanna is a second-generation trial lawyer. While formally educated at The University of Texas and Texas Tech University School of Law, his "real" schooling took place in the county courthouses across West Texas. From 1982 to 1992, Jon tried cases to juries primarily involving on-the-job injuries suffered by working men and women. Eventually that evolved into cases involving catastrophic injuries arising out of operations in the oil fields and oilfield service industries.

For the last 25 years, Jon has successfully litigated thousands of cases for clients injured by 18 wheeler trucks, product manufacturers, automobiles, Dram Shop Act (over service of alcohol), and medical negligence. Jon has devoted his practice to the belief that the courtrooms of Texas are one of the last places on earth where a solitary citizen can fight the largest product manufacturer, the oil industry, or a billion-dollar insurance company, on equal terms. During the 35 years of his practice he has acquired the extensive experience necessary to handle virtually any kind of personal injury, oilfield catastrophe or wrongful death case.

To give back to the community that has been so good to him, Jon is proud to have served as a special prosecutor for the State of Texas to prosecute police misconduct as well as special assistant for the Disciplinary Counsel of the State Bar of Texas to prosecute attorney misconduct. When he is not on the road between the courthouses of West Texas, he resides just outside of historic Buffalo Gap, Texas with his family.

Licensed by State Bars of Texas and Colorado and admitted to practice before the United States District Court, Northern District of Texas; United States Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit; and the Supreme Court of the United States.
