Joseph Rossi, Jr.

Joseph A. Rossi, Jr. focuses his legal practice on plaintiff personal injury litigation, including motor vehicles accidents, medical malpractice (negligence), premises liability (slip/trip and fall), negligence matters, and wrongful death matter. During his entire legal career he has only represented injured individuals.

Joseph grew up and initially practiced personal injury litigation on behalf of injured people “downstate” in NYC before moving back to his wife’s hometown of Rochester. They are blessed with four children (three sons and a daughter).

Before opening Rossi Law Firm - Personal Injury Law, he worked at Pirrotti & Glatt Law Firm, PLLC representing injured individuals as a result of motor vehicle accident, medical malpractice, construction accidents and trip/slip fall accidents in all five boroughs of New York City, as well as the surrounding counties.

His father was a retired Police narcotics detective and DEA agent, who owned his own private investigation firm, for which he also worked prior to becoming an attorney. While working with his father, he learned how important the investigation process truly is for each case and incorporates his methodical detailed oriented approach and “leave no stone unturned” mentality in his every day practice for the firm’s clients.

Joseph has been selected to the 2014 through 2018 New York Super Lawyers Rising Stars’ list. Each year, no more than 2.5% of the lawyers in the state are selected to receive this honor. Since 2021, he has been chosen as an Upstate New York Super Lawyer, which no more than 5% of attorneys are selected as.

Joseph has been selected as one of the Best Lawyers in America for personal injury since 2019. He was named Best Lawyers’ 2023 “Lawyer of the Year” for plaintiff’s personal injury litigation and Lawyers of Distinction for 2023.

In 2022, the American Association of Attorney Advocates named Joseph “Top 10 Attorney” in New York for personal injury law.

He is an active member of the New York State Bar Association, Monroe County Bar Association, American Association for Justice (AAJ/ATLA), the New York State Trial Lawyers Association (NYSTLA), the Greater Rochester Association of Women Attorneys (GRAWA). He is a former member of the Board for the Foundation of the Monroe County Bar.
