She also volunteers her time and has served on the Board of Directors of Texas Loves Children, an organization whose mission is to improve case outcomes for abused and neglected children by enhancing the quality of legal services they receive. Julie devotes a large percentage of her practice to pro bono activities, including providing collaborative services to families involved with child protective services in a pilot project which joined the Texas Department of Child and Protective Services and the families in a collaborative effort to reunite the families. Julie believes strongly in the concept that a couple can resolve their family law matter in a respectful way and with dignity. She is dedicated to helping families resolve their disputes peacefully, if at all possible.
