Justin Michael Raver

Justin Raver focuses his practice on agricultural law, helping clients navigate the many legal issues that come with owning land, running a farm operation, or managing an ag-focused business. Because agriculture touches so many areas of life and business, Justin’s experience spans business formation and disputes, bankruptcy, real estate, estate planning and succession planning, commercial law, and banking matters. Before entering private practice, Justin served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney, where he represented the United States as a creditor in bankruptcy cases and gained deep insight into how complex financial issues are handled in court. He has also led a law firm as the former CEO of Barash & Everett, giving him a practical understanding of what clients need from their counsel: clear strategy, responsiveness, and solutions that work in the real world. Justin is a U.S. Navy veteran and served aboard the USS Nevada, an Ohio-class ballistic missile submarine, as a sonarman and damage control petty officer. Outside the office, he supports his community through pro bono work for nonprofit organizations such as the Orpheum Theater and stays involved in community theater across Western Illinois.
