Karen Brod

Karen Brod brings a unique and highly relevant perspective to the practice of law, rooted in her deep background in psychology. Before earning her law degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, she studied psychology at Wake Forest and completed a Master’s in experimental psychology at the University of Tennessee. This foundation in understanding human behavior is a significant asset in her current work, where she focuses exclusively on Social Security disability law. While Karen has a diverse professional history that includes experience in both litigation and transactional law, she found her true calling in helping individuals navigate the complexities of the disability system. She is admitted to practice before the North Carolina State Bar as well as the United States District Courts in the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of the state. Karen stays deeply involved in the legal community as an active member of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice and its Social Security Section. For Karen, the law is about more than just statutes; it is about using her training to provide effective, compassionate advocacy for people during some of their most difficult times.
