A significant portion of Kasper’s work involves assisting individuals and families with estate planning. He prepares revocable trusts, wills, and financial and healthcare powers of attorney, and works with clients on advanced planning and gifting strategies, including grantor retained annuity trusts (GRATs), irrevocable life insurance trusts (ILITs), charitable lead annuity trusts (CLATs), and family limited partnerships (FLPs). Kasper also prepares and files related gift tax returns and represents clients in estate administration matters, including post-death trust administration, probate of wills and intestate estates, and the preparation and filing of federal estate tax returns.

In addition to his Trusts and Estates practice, Kasper advises business owners on the formation and operation of new business entities. His work includes preparing and filing organizational documents, making tax elections, and drafting governing documents tailored to each client’s objectives. He also handles a wide range of business transactions, such as purchase agreements, buy-sell agreements, mergers, and reorganizations. As part of his Real Estate Law practice, Kasper regularly counsels developers, business clients, and individuals on real estate ownership structures, commercial purchases and sales, commercial leasing, §1031 exchanges, and related real estate transactions. He also assists nonprofit organizations with formation and applications for federal tax-exempt status under §501(c)(3).

Kasper represents individual and corporate taxpayers in complex tax disputes, including federal income tax audits, federal estate and gift tax audits, state income tax audits, and state sales and use tax audits.

Before joining RMP LLP, Kasper practiced law in his hometown of Jonesboro, Arkansas. He and his wife are members of Fellowship Bible Church in Fayetteville and enjoy Arkansas Razorback football and basketball, spending time at the lake, and traveling.
