Kevin Butler is an attorney based in Orlando, FL. The practice focuses on Medical Malpractice. Currently practicing at Morgan & Morgan. Kevin works from Orlando, Florida and takes on medical malpractice matters across the region.
Kevin Butler is a Trial Lawyer within Morgan & Morgan's prestigious Medical Malpractice Trial Group, where he specializes in Birth Injury litigation to include cases involving birth trauma, birth defects, brain injuries, brachial plexus injuries, and stillbirth. Prior to joining Morgan & Morgan, Mr. Butler successfully ran his own personal injury law firm for nearly eight years. It was during this time that Mr. Butler developed his reputation as a skilled and fierce litigator, taking on and winning difficult and complex cases against some of the deepest pocketed insurance companies in the country. It was also during this time that Mr. Butler was recognized by his peers in the legal industry as someone who will take on any case, big or small, with the same level of vigor and devotion. This resulted in Mr. Butler obtaining justice for clients who had been turned away from other lawyers and law firms due to the complexity of their case, or due to a zero offer from the insurance company. In one instance, Mr. Butler was able to secure a $200,000 settlement for a client turned away by two different firms because of a zero offer from the at-fault insurance company. Mr. Butler credits his unique background in developing his “fight or die” approach to the law.
Mr. Butler moved to Orlando, FL in August of 1999 to attend University of Central Florida and has called the area home ever since. After graduating with a bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Mr. Butler spent 15 years working for various luxury hotels and fine-dining restaurants where he learned the value of providing excellent and unwavering service. While pursuing an MBA from the University of Central Florida, Mr. Butler felt a calling to something more meaningful and something which would epitomize his passion for helping people from all walks of life. With the push of an encouraging professor, and with the pull of devotion to duty, Mr. Butler enrolled in Florida A&M University’s College of Law and emersed himself in the law. While in law school, Kevin had the honor and privilege of working with and assisting some of Morgan & Morgan's finest attorneys in matters varying from Medical Malpractice, Complex Business Litigation, Automobile Negligence, Wrongful Death, Negligent Security, Premises Liability, and Tobacco Litigation. Working alongside some of the country’s most elite Trial Lawyers impassioned Kevin to follow in their footsteps and pursue justice for the people.
In addition to his practice of law, Mr. Butler is a field officer in the Florida Army National Guard. Over the years of Mr. Butler's service to this state and country, he has assisted with seven Hurricane recovery missions which included delivering food and water tens of thousands residents, and conducting search and rescue missions for thousands of affected Floridians. Mr. Butler's work with the Florida Army National Guard and United States Army has brought him accolades both in training and operational environments, as well as recognition as a top officer within his grade year after year. Mr. Butler is a proud member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, and has been named a “Rising Star” by SuperLawyers in 2023, 2024, and 2025.
'Being a member of the Florida Army National Guard and a member of Morgan & Morgan's Medical Malpractice Trial Group, while seemingly very different jobs, actually have tremendous parallels in that joining both organizations comes from a desire to serve those in need. Patients who have been harmed through negligence and Floridians who find themselves in the path of disaster share a vulnerability that calls upon my inner desire to help, protect, and serve. There is nothing more satisfying than knowing that I have indelibly touched the lives of my clients or Florida residents just by providing hope that the future can and will be better.'
When not in uniform or a suit, Mr. Butler prides himself as a family man. He enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife, Ninette, and their bird dogs.
