Kevin D. Holden

Kevin D. Holden is a principal in the Richmond, Virginia, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. He has more than 25 years of experience representing management and defending against individual and class claims brought under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and frequently litigates claims brought against employers under the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Title VII), Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act. Kevin regularly defends the enforceability of non-compete agreements, claims for unpaid wages, and various other workplace torts. He is also the leader of the FCRA Class Action group at Jackson Lewis.

Kevin's practice takes him before numerous state and federal courts, and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the U.S. Department of Labor.

In addition to his litigation practice, Kevin dedicates a substantial amount of his time to counseling national, regional, and local business owners and health care groups on a variety of work place issues. In doing so, he seeks to ensure awareness of and compliance with applicable employment laws, as well as litigation avoidance.

Kevin is a frequent lecturer on a variety of workplace issues. He has presented at SHRM conferences (national and regional), the US Business Leadership Network’s National Conference sharing the podium with former US Attorney Alberto Gonzales and former Senator Robert Dole. He has served on the Executive Board for the Labor & Employment Section of the Virginia State Bar for the last eleven years and is the current past chair of that section.

Prior to joining Jackson Lewis in 2009, Kevin practiced as a partner at Kaufman & Canoles, where he established the Kaufman & Canoles Richmond Office and served as the head of the Labor and Employment Law department. (Richmond).
