Kylie Peebles joined McCathern in 2020 as an associate attorney working with the firm’s family law and criminal law practices. She spent nearly a year with the DA’s office prosecuting family violence cases, gaining extensive insight into the nuances of these sensitive matters and the particular needs of these types of clients. Following her work as an assistant DA, Kylie was an associate attorney at a Frisco, Texas law firm, where she gained additional experience representing clients in divorce, child custody, termination, adoption, and other family law proceedings.
Kylie graduated cum laude from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2017, concentrating in Criminal Law & Innocence. While in law school, she was Vice President of Student Organizations in the student bar association and Director of Judges for the Board of Barristers. Kylie interned with Judge Phil Sorrels of Tarrant County Criminal Court no. 10 in 2015. Kylie earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Texas Christian University in 2014, minoring in Spanish and Criminal Justice. While at TCU, she spent five months studying abroad in Seville, Spain attending the university there and immersing herself in the culture and language. In 2013, Kylie interned with Judge Jamie Cummings of Tarrant County Criminal Court no. 5.
Kylie grew up on the beaches of Florida, but is now proudly a resident of North Texas. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Collin County Bar Association, the Collin County Young Lawyers Association, and the Junior League of Collin County. When not practicing law, Kylie enjoys spending time with her husband and golden retrievers Luna and Katie, working out, and exploring the outdoors.
