Laura E. Schuett

Laura E. Schuett is a shareholder with Crivello Carlson, S.C. Throughout her career, she has handled litigation involving products liability, contract disputes and environmental cost recovery for corporations in various venues, including Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. For over ten years, she has represented suppliers and manufacturers in asbestos cases and has obtained a number of summary judgment orders. Laura has also handled a significant amount of environmental coverage disputes on behalf of insurance carriers. She was on the team that litigated the groundbreaking pro-insurer Edgerton decision in the Wisconsin Supreme Court. She has also obtained summary judgment orders on behalf of insurance carriers in a number of environmental coverage cases on various coverage defenses, including 'known loss.'Laura has expertise and experience in foreclosures, deeds in lieu of foreclosure and receiverships. She has been involved in complex commercial foreclosures as well as residential foreclosures. Laura also has knowledge regarding the environmental issues which must be considered when acquiring real estate in a foreclosure or deed in lieu of foreclosure.Laura’s practice also includes municipal law. She has served as a prosecutor for municipalities throughout Wisconsin, trying a number of cases to successful verdicts before judges and juries.
