Lauren Astone

Lauren T. Astone’s legal experience spans both litigation and transactional matters. With a keen understanding of the intricacies of both areas of law, she provides her clients with guidance and representation tailored to their specific needs. In her litigation practice, Lauren consistently demonstrates her ability to navigate complex legal disputes and achieve favorable outcomes for her clients. She has successfully represented individuals and businesses in various civil litigation matters, including insurance claims, contract disputes, employment law matters, and commercial litigation cases. Examples of her litigation work include securing a favorable settlement for a regional automotive dealership group in a breach of contract dispute; successfully defending a nonprofit organization in an employment discrimination lawsuit, resulting in the dismissal of all claims against the client; and advocating on behalf of a real estate developer in a multimillion-dollar financing dispute, ultimately negotiating a favorable settlement that protected the client’s reputation and financial interests. In addition to her litigation practice, Lauren is well-versed in transactional law, assisting clients with a wide range of business transactions and agreements, providing strategic counsel and drafting meticulous legal documents to facilitate smooth and successful transactions. Examples of her transactional work include advising a startup technology company on the formation of their business entity, drafting articles of incorporation, operating agreements, and other essential documents to ensure legal compliance and protection; negotiating complex commercial lease agreements on behalf of a solar energy developer; and assisting a music producer in the negotiation and drafting of licensing agreements, intellectual property assignments, and nondisclosure agreements to safeguard proprietary assets. Lauren takes pride in her ability to deliver legal services that exceed her clients’ expectations and is dedicated to achieving the best possible results for those she represents. Lauren earned her J.D. from The George Washington University Law School with a concentration in Health Law. She currently teaches a course for incoming first-year law students at her alma mater. Lauren is currently admitted to practice in the Connecticut state and federal courts.
