Biography

Lisa Anne Baird, alimony attorney serving Miami

Lisa Anne Baird is a member based in Miami, FL. The practice focuses on Alimony, Child Custody, and Child Support. Lisa has over 33 years of legal experience. Currently practicing at Lisa A. Baird, P.A.. Lisa works from Miami, Florida and takes on alimony matters across the region.

Growing up in the Midwest at a time when divorce was not at all common, Lisa aspired to be a secretary but in the legal field due to her love of problem-solving and fighting for what was right. It was her own mother – divorced, single mom of two, hard-working teacher – who was the first person to tell Lisa she had the wherewithal to be the attorney. And the rest, as they say, is history.

A graduate of Miami University of Ohio (B.A., cum laude 1990) and Vanderbilt University School of Law (J.D., 1993), Lisa moved to Miami, Florida, in 1993 and opened her own law office upon passing the Florida Bar. She has practiced family law at both the trial and appellate levels for the past 26 years, during which she has tried hundreds of contested court hearings in Miami-Dade, Broward, Naples, and Lee County, Florida, and has amassed over 30 reported appellate decisions. In addition to litigation, Lisa has negotiated hundreds of settlement agreements and parenting plans for clients embroiled in divorce, paternity, and post-judgment proceedings.

In 2015, the Daily Business Review profiled a case Lisa handled both at the trial and appellate levels that resulted in an award of attorney’s fees for her client against the Florida Department of Revenue for its wrongful pursuit of child support against a man who had never met the mother of the child in that case. Lisa’s passion is to take on your family law battle – if not news-worthy, then certainly life-altering – so you don’t have to go it alone. Let her bring you more than help; let her bring you hope.
